The 10cm stirring magnet is a magnet that is encased in a material that does not react with the fluid in which it is immersed. The 10cm stirring magnet is coated with a cast layer of PTFE (also known as Teflon), which does not react with many fluids. Suitable for use with laboratory magnetic stirrers.

Tip!

The size of the stirring magnet must be suitable for the beaker you are using. Usually 0,5-1,0 cm smaller than the diameter of the beaker. If you are working with different sizes of beakers (which you definitely do), you will need different magnetic rods.
